Have you made raw chocolate yourself? I say ‘made’, but it’s just a matter of melting, mixing, and chilling.
Melt together 3/4 cup raw cacao poweder, 3/4 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup, and about a teaspoon of vanilla bean paste.
To make the chocolate bark, simply drizzle it all over your choice of nuts, seeds, coconut, and whatever else you have, on a baking paper-lined plate or tray.
For the little chocolates, I left out the nuts and stirred in natural peanut butter instead to make them toddler-friendly. You could use any kind of nut or seed butter here. Pour the mix into either chocolate moulds or silicone ice cube trays.
Pop it either in the fridge until it sets, or if you’re impatient like me, put it into the freezer. By the time you make yourself a cup of tea, put your comfy home clothes on, grab a book, it should have set.
It takes less than 3 minutes to make, 10 mins in the freezer…and then you’re in pure chocolate heaven!! So much yummier (and cheaper) than the commercial stuff. Tell me, if you already make your own, what do you put in your chocolate? I’m always looking for new ideas…not that I make it often or anything, but you know, it’s good to have some stashed for emergencies. Like a Tuesday.
